If your invoice lists fees and you are unsure what they are for, here is an overview of possible causes:
Possible types of fees
Reminder fees
These are charged if a payment is not made on time, is not made at all or if less than the minimum amount is paid.
Interest charges
These are incurred if you make use of the instalment option or if payments are not made at all. This interest is calculated on the outstanding balance.
Administration fees
These are charged for sending the monthly invoice by post.
Post office counter fees
These are incurred if a payment is made at a post office counter. These fees are charged by Swiss Post and passed on to us.
Address search
If an invoice cannot be delivered by post, for example because you have moved and have not notified us of your change of address, we will carry out an address search to find your current residential address. This service involves additional work and costs, which is why we will charge you a fee for this service.
To avoid such additional costs, we recommend that you update your address in our customer portal in good time, especially if you have moved house.
Note
If your address is correct but the letter has still not been delivered, we recommend that you contact Swiss Post directly to clarify any delivery issues.
Where can I find the exact costs?
The specific amount of the fees is set out in our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) on our MF Health homepage.
